Our story

The escape is only the ending. We believe in choosing the unknown over the ordinary and face time over screen time. Because the magic isn’t on a leaderboard — it’s in the shared experiences and shared memories.

  • Fun comes first

Winning is temporary, but the memories you take home aren’t.

  • We lead the way

Bring your friends and a sense of adventure. We’ll take care of the rest.

  • Connection builds community

We’re in the business of good times and quality time.

  • Every guest is a main character

You’re the hero in a world where to-do lists don’t exist.

Frequently answered questions

Escape rooms, also known as escape games, are real-life adventures where you and your team have one hour to break out of a room. Depending on the room, you’ll crack codes, solve riddles, piece together puzzles, and find clues to find the way out.

Escape games originated in Japan, based on escape the room video games created by Toshimitsu Takagi in 2005. Want to dive deeper? Read all about escape rooms on our blog.

Prices vary by location and group size. For the most accurate answer, choose your location.

All ages are welcome, but our rooms are best suited for players who can read independently and collaborate in small groups. Our games are PG-themed and designed for a wide range of ages and interests. We’re happy to help you pick the right game for your family — just contact your local Breakout to ask.

Kids ages 6 and under play free with a paying adult (one child free per adult). Players under the age of 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian, and children 14 and younger must be accompanied by an adult in the room at all times. Players ages 15-18 may play without an adult, but an adult must remain on the premises.

All our rooms are designed for 2-8 players. If you have a larger group, you can split up into multiple rooms — and have even more stories to tell after the game.

Breakout is the perfect place to come and celebrate your birthday or plan a party for your child. If you let us know it’s your birthday at the time of booking, we would love to help make this a special memory.

We also have a birthday party invite you can download here.

Participants under the age of 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian. Children 14 years old and younger must be accompanied by an adult, who is required to stay in the escape room at all times. Participants aged 15 and older may play the room without an adult, but an adult must remain on the premises during the game.

Check out these resources for helping younger children play escape rooms and the lessons kids learn from playing them.
